Hi there,

I have my AllCall Rio since few days now, and the first thing i did was to update the phone through the FOTA.

Regrettably, it appear that this last firmware got a Virus / Bloatware inside. The phone is mainly instable and pop up ads when you launch something on the phone (even sms, photos, ...). It seems that the virus access to your personnal info as well.

You could locate it under the name of "Google Admob" (which is not related with Google at all) in the list of apps, but you can't uninstall it because it always reinstall itself. It seem to be include in your android launcher, because if i change the launcher (ie. with google now), there is less ads to appear.

It seem that the virus create multiple entry in the Android folder in the user memory.

Dr Web antivirus say that the virus is : Android.Packed.26246 but can't remove it (in fact he can remove it, but the virus reinstal by itself again).

I did try to reset the phone, without adding any app nor creating google account on the phone : the virus is already here, seems to be a bloatware include already in the firmware.

Please check your updated firmware and look after this app "Google Admob".

Any help or clean firmware will be appreciated.

No, I do not, I have bought the mobile phone and paid for money, I expect that I get a clean cell phone for my money.

Newly, the mobile phone turns off the w-lan, therefore, was already 2 times my complete volume of data, something can not be!

This is like when I buy a Mercedes 300 liter consumed.

I wonder how it can be on a NEW cell phone a virus?

I'm really extremely angry!

Hello All,

Same problem here with my AllCall Rio, it started soon after I started to use my phone, and after installation of the firmware updates. Some anti virus apps (FSecure, AVL and Sophos) noticed it but were not able to remove the virus, which probably is nested in Google Service and Google AdMob. As soon as I uninstall these, it reinstalls it by itself. After a clean factory reset the pop ups appear immediately (full screen) and hinders the installation of other apps. It looks like bloatware, indeed.

Please help!

The problem for me still continues. The phone is also very slow after some time of use and the notifications bar does not always go down, sometimes it gets stuck and it does not appear. thank you
